THE CLASSIC BOTTOM LINE CLUB RECORDING FROM 1975 PLUS LENGTHY BRUCE INTERVIEW Having signed with Columbia in 1972, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band had struggled initially to make much impact, despite releasing a pair of critically-acclaimed albums. The label however provided the band a large budget in a final attempt to have a hit, and across 14 months they recorded their third LP. After an early mix of the now-legendary Born to Run single was distributed to local radio stations, there were high hopes for its companion album. Two weeks before the release of Born To Run, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band were booked to play a five day, 10 show run at The Bottom Line club, in Greenwich Village, New York City - an event that would be listed among the 50 Moments That Changed Rock and Roll by Rolling Stone magazine. Their residency received widespread media attention, and West Soho-based WNEW-FM was brought in to broadcast the early show on 15th August 1975. It is this performance that is included in its entirety on this set, giving listeners today the opportunity to relive one of rock music s pivotal gigs. With future fan favourites Born To Run and Thunder Road already a part of the group s set, the resultant recording reveals a show entirely fitting - for once - of the hype that surrounded Springsteen s third. Completing this two disc collection is an extended interview with The Boss, in which the man himself discusses his life in music to that point, which provides a fascinating glimpse into the mind of this master performer, musician and composer, at a point in his now lengthy career when his time was most definitely about to come.

Disc 1: Introduction, Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out, Spirit In The Night, Then She Kissed Me, Growin' Up, It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City, Storyteller, The E Street Shuffle/Havin' A Party, When You Walk In The Room, She's The One, Born To Run, Thunder Road, Storyteller 2

Disc 2: Kitty's Back, Rosalita (Come Out Tonight), Radio Spot, 4th Of July, Asbury Park (Sandy), Quarter To Three, Closing Comments, Interview Pt. 1, Interview Pt. 2
