The first of three shows in Ireland features a 31-song main set that opens with the first ever Springsteen performance of the Pogues’ «A Rainy Night In Soho», a tribute to the late Shane MacGowan. Bruce ends up «stuck» in the front row during «Spirit In The Night» and watches the band before being helped out by fans, security, and Jake. The show also includes «Adam Raised A Cain», «Seeds», and the first ever performance in Ireland for «If I Was The Priest». Springsteen appears on stage a couple of hours before showtime for a solo acoustic «This Hard Land», his first pre-show since 2016.

Show Notes

First performance of The Pogues’ “A Rainy Night in Soho” (written by Shane MacGowan, who passed away in 2023).

“Candy’s Room” and “Adam Raised a Cain” return to the set.

Three songs from 2020’s Letter To You: “Ghosts,” “Last Man Standing” and “I’ll See You In My Dreams”.

“Last Man Standing” features a new arrangement.

“I’ll See You In My Dreams” is performed solo acoustic to end the show.

One song from 2022’s Only the Strong Survive: “Nightshift” (written by Franne Golde, Dennis Lambert and Walter Orange, popularized by The Commodores).

Concert stalwarts like “Because The Night,” “Dancing in the Dark,” and “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” are performed in tighter, shorter versions.

“Thunder Road” is the main-set closer.

«My 51st show…and far away the most magical experience I’ve ever had with Bruce and the E Streeters. Flew from New Jersey to Dublin and a quick drive to Kilkenny…Bruce coming out early to do This Hard Land was unreal…start the main set w Rainy Night in Soho…30,000 Irish in tears of joy. The show was insane and moving and worth the 3000 mile journey. Love you Boss!!! »
