About the Author

Stan Goldstein and Jean Mikle are lifelong New Jersey residents who have witnessed much of the Jersey Shore’s rock n’roll history over the past 30 years. Stan, who works at The Star-Ledger of Newark newspaper, and Jean, who works at the Asbury Park Press, have given walking tours of Jersey Shore rock n’roll sites to thousands of people from around the world since 1999. They have also spoken about the Shore’s music history to various community organizations.
