Considering the fact that an artist’s spoken word is not protected by international copyright laws, interview picture discs – most of which originate in the UK – can’t really be deemed «illegal», although they’re very certainly «unofficial». Several Springsteen releases of that kind were issued on vinyl throughout the second half of the ‘80s (including this double 7-inch set, a double 12-inch set).
